Wonder Dynamics launches Wonder Animation to turn videos into 3D animated scenes

Wonder Dynamics has introduced Wonder Animation, the latest AI-powered solution for animated film production that transforms videos into 3D scenes. This beta release leverages groundbreaking Video to 3D Scene technology, allowing artists to film and edit sequences across various camera angles and reconstruct them in 3D space using AI. The tool retains all editable elements in software like Maya, Blender, or Unreal, giving creators the freedom to modify animation, environment, lighting, and more.

This functionality is the latest addition to Wonder Studio, with which Wonder Dynamics, now part of Autodesk, aims to bring artists closer to producing fully animated films. Unlike other generative AI tools, Wonder Animation allows the creator to maintain complete control, moving away from automated outputs and enabling a more creative editing process.

Wonder Animation’s Video to 3D Scene technology enables filmmakers to capture footage anywhere and with any camera, transforming it into CG-animated sequences in a 3D environment. Leveraging AI, this technology can detect and adapt the positions of cameras, characters, and the scene's surroundings to create a comprehensive virtual representation.
