What is Microsoft AI?

Microsoft AI is Microsoft's initiative dedicated to developing advanced artificial intelligence technologies, conceived with a humanistic and responsible approach. Its purpose is to create models and tools that enable understanding, reasoning, and natural communication, with practical applications across various fields.

Since 2024, it brings together researchers, engineers, designers, and clinicians to train proprietary models. Notable among them are MAI-Voice-1, specialized in expressive voice generation adaptable to different contexts, and MAI-1-preview, the first foundational model trained end-to-end with proprietary infrastructure of approximately 15,000 H100 GPUs. These advances aim to improve interaction with natural interfaces and generate more precise responses in complex situations.

In healthcare, Microsoft AI has developed the Diagnostic Orchestrator (MAI-DxO), capable of solving complex clinical cases with an accuracy rate exceeding 85% in tests based on the New England Journal of Medicine. Its strategy also includes creating evaluation methods that surpass the limitations of traditional benchmarks, seeking to measure deep clinical reasoning rather than simple exam memorization.

Products associated with Microsoft AI integrate these capabilities into everyday experiences. Copilot functions as a cross-platform assistant in creation and organization tasks; Bing applies AI to web search; Edge incorporates intelligent functions in navigation and productivity; MSN offers personalized content; and Advertising introduces AI-based advertising solutions.
