Antigravity

Google Antigravity is an agentic development platform that evolves the integrated development environment concept toward an agent-centric model. The platform allows developers to operate at task level rather than individual commands, managing agents that work simultaneously across different workspaces.

Agents in Antigravity operate autonomously across three main surfaces: editor, terminal, and browser, enabling them to plan and execute complete software development tasks from end to end.

Antigravity's architecture incorporates two interfaces: Editor View, which maintains the familiar development environment experience with tab completion and inline commands alongside an agent in the side panel; and Manager Surface, an interface designed for orchestrating multiple agents working in parallel. This second surface inverts the traditional paradigm by embedding work environments within the agent, functioning as a control center for asynchronous process management.

The system groups agent actions by tasks and generates artifacts that document the process: task lists, implementation plans, screenshots, and browser recordings. These elements allow verification of completed work without requiring review of each individual tool call.

Antigravity incorporates a feedback mechanism that allows users to comment on generated artifacts without stopping agent execution. The system also includes knowledge management, where agents store and retrieve information from previous work, including code snippets and step sequences for specific subtasks.

The platform is compatible with MacOS, Linux, and Windows, and offers access to multiple language models, including models from Google, Anthropic, and OpenAI.
