What is Flowise?

Flowise is an open source development platform for building AI agents and workflows with large language models. The tool provides a visual editor that enables creating systems from basic implementations to complex multi-agent orchestrations.

The platform includes three main visual builders:
Assistant is oriented towards beginner users to create chat assistants that follow instructions, use tools and retrieve information from knowledge bases through uploaded files (RAG).
Chatflow is designed for single-agent systems and simple LLM flows with advanced techniques like Graph RAG, Reranker and Retriever.
Agentflow combines the previous functionalities allowing creation of multi-agent systems and complex workflow orchestration.

Flowise supports open source and proprietary models, incorporates branching logic, loops and routing, and allows custom code. The platform connects with over 100 data sources, tools, vector databases and memory systems, including memory optimization techniques and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations for communication between models and external tools.

Monitoring capabilities include execution logs, visual debugging and external log streaming. The system offers input moderation and output post-processing, along with security controls that include RBAC, SSO, encrypted credentials and secret managers.

The platform provides APIs, JavaScript and Python SDKs, command line interface, and customizable embedded chat widgets. It supports self-hosted and air-gapped deployment, with vertical and horizontal scalability for high-performance workloads.
