Chatbot

A chatbot is a software program designed to engage in conversations with humans, either through text or voice. It’s like a virtual assistant that can answer questions and perform tasks based on a predefined script or advanced artificial intelligence.
There are two main types of chatbots. Basic ones operate on predefined rules and programmed responses, like those found on some customer service websites. They can only respond to specific questions and have limited ability to understand variations in language.

Modern AI-based chatbots, such as ChatGPT or Claude, use a Large Language Model (LLM) that enable them to understand context, maintain more natural conversations, and perform complex tasks like writing code, analyzing texts, or assisting with creative projects.

These assistants are used across multiple industries: 24/7 customer service, technical support, personalized education, appointment scheduling, or even as conversational companions. Their capabilities depend on the AI model they use and how they are configured for their specific task.
